UK Based industrial and medical gas supplier recently upgraded their shot blasting machinery with a new installation of the Pangborn Diabolo Roller Blast Cleaning Machine.

Diabolo Roller Blast Cleaning Machine
Pangborn team of engineers successfully installed the popular Roller Diabolo machine at the UK based plant earlier this month. Shown in the below video is the new installation up and running demonstrating a painted, empty gas bottles being fully shot blasted, produced completely clean at the other side.
The new installation will provide increased productivity, reduced costs with reduced maintenance and downtime. This type of diabolo roller conveyor machine is designed specifically for;

- Gas Bottles
- Pipes and Bars
This machine can also be utilised for blast cleaning and shot peening.

Blast Wheel Type
- Pangborn RIM-LOC 8 Vane type reversible rotoblast wheels, achieve faster cleaning and feature the easiest and quickest maintenance vane change in the industry
Blast Wheel Speed
- Variable from 2200 to 3800 RPM when fitted with optional electronic inverter control.
Machine Operating Speed
1. wheel machine: operating speed = 0.75 m/min with single 7.5 kW blast wheel
2. wheel machine: operating speed = 3.0 m/min with two 15 kW blast wheels
Abrasive Control System
- Single quadrant valve activated by sensor or manual push button or individual quadrant valves on each wheel activated by sensor or manual push button
Blast Cabinet Protection
- Cross rolled manganese steel.
Blast Cabinet Floor
- High chrome alloy steel perforated floor plates.
Abrasive Recovery System
- Heavy duty screw conveyors, belt and bucket elevator and cascade type airwash unit
